Throughlineby HiveJournal

For therapists

Between sessions, a little signal.
Never their words.

Your clients journal. With their consent, they share only the trends with you — mood trajectory, how consistently they write, recurring themes. You get a calm read on how they’re doing between sessions, and you never see a single entry.

How it works

Trends in. Entries never out.

1

Recommend HiveJournal

You suggest journaling between sessions — something most clients are told to do anyway.

2

They write, privately

Your client journals on their own. Their entries stay theirs — you never see a word of them.

3

They share trends, by consent

With one tap, they share only the signal: mood trajectory, how consistently they write, recurring themes. They control it and can revoke any time.

4

You get a little visibility

A calm read on how they’re doing between sessions — and soon, a gentle nudge if they go quiet for a couple of weeks.

🔒

You see trends, never entries.

Sharing is built on consent and stays in your client’s control. They choose which signals to share — mood, consistency, themes, summaries — and they can turn any of it off, or revoke entirely, at any time. The words they write are never part of it.

Throughline is a wellness & engagement tool, not a clinical monitoring or diagnostic device. It does not detect crises or emergencies, and it is not a substitute for clinical judgment.

Where it stands

Honest about what’s built.

Today
  • Recommend journaling — most clients are told to do it anyway.
  • Consent-based trend sharing (mood, consistency, themes) over the JQ Bridge healthcare connection.
  • The “see exactly what you’d see” demo above — real journals in, trends-only view out.
  • Rehearsal Room — rehearse an intervention before the session.
Coming — with our design partners
  • A roster dashboard: every consenting client’s between-session vitals on one screen.
  • A gentle nudge when a client goes quiet for a couple of weeks.
  • A shared access log, so your client sees exactly what’s been viewed.

Also for clinicians

Rehearsal Room — try an intervention before the session →

Model a client type and a situation, then see how different activities, choices, or phrasings might land — side by side. A rehearsal, not a prediction.

Questions

The honest answers.

Will I ever see what my client writes?

No — never. You see only the signals they choose to share: mood trajectory, how consistently they write, recurring themes, and optional short summaries. The entries themselves are never part of it.

What does my client have to do?

Journal in HiveJournal like they might anyway, then tap once to share trends with you. They pick which signals to share and can pause or revoke any of it at any time.

What does it cost?

Nothing. We’re building Throughline free with a small group of design-partner therapists.

Is this a clinical or HIPAA tool?

No. Throughline is a wellness & engagement tool — metadata only, consent-based. It doesn’t detect crises or emergencies, and it isn’t a substitute for clinical judgment or a diagnostic device.

Can my client turn it off?

Yes — any individual signal, or the whole connection, at any time, from their own dashboard.

What will I actually see?

Mood over time, journaling consistency, recurring themes, and (if they share it) short summaries. The demo above shows it exactly.
